Objective of the role
Our clients offering is a unique joint venture purchasing organisation delivering significant cost savings to motor dealers. Owned by members it is built on the successful union of like-minded independent business leaders in the UK motor trade. With a combined member turnover of £3.5 billion.
As Business Development Manager, you will be one of a small team of five, comprising three executives, an assistant and a non-executive chairman.
This is a member focused, relationship driven role with the objective of deepening and strengthening the level of business support they deliver to each member.
You will develop effective relationships with a specified number of members (geographically grouped), as well as the nominated suppliers, to increase the levels of engagement with the programmes and minimise any leakage to other suppliers. At all times you are seeking to reduce the cost base of members and improve their business as a result of their shareholding.

The New Business Sales Executive will be responsible for, developing a business revenue stream, by building a client portfolio selling their products and services to :-
• UK based franchised dealer groups & dealers
• Non-franchised independent dealers
• OEMs or NSCs
• Any other relevant markets in the future, as the business expands
Essential Work Experience
• New business sales – having sold training and/or consultancy services and ideally software product led solutions into automotive sector
• A demonstrable sales track record of success
• Experience of problem solving through data analysis
